Belgrave Mews

private house

A 3-storey residential project in central London. Roughly 10 x 10m in plan the house is arranged around the shared domain circulation system - the main stair - spaces are arranged as overlapping partly separated rooms. Fluid space is combined with more solid elements. Openness and gradations of privacy coexist in a structure that is seamless but diverse. Here there are parallel aspirations concerning the relations and overlap of shared and private space in the city.
